Off down the A1 in the MG to Newark for a few days. Spent a good afternoon after arrival walking round the town. Good museum about the civil war and castle ruin is impressive next to the river. Easy walk into town centre so ate out each night.
Southwell minster was an impressive building in a small place. The workhouse was very interesting and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Met up with Iain as it was less than an hour away for a meet up at Belton House. Popped into a garden centre afterwards.
Spent the last day in Lincoln. We have been before but only for a quick visit. Spent a long time in the castle and the cathedral with a walk around the old town area afterwards.
