Went to stay in Windermere at the bed and breakfast we have used before. Good location, great breakfasts. Easy to get in to Windermere village to eat. Spent two days walking. First around Aira Force (right) and Glenridding. Looked for red squireels like on previous visit – none found. Rainfall made the waterfall spectacular. Second day around Elterwater. Flat for the first half then a steep ascent and descent.
Third day walked up to Easdale Tarn from Grasmere. Decent walk in good weather with some great views back down the valley and around the tarn.
Unfortunately we then had to cut short our stay due to the start of Covid restrictions.
