Stayed south of Sheffield for a few days. First call was the Yorkshie Sculpture park. been there before but enjoyed it very much, likewise this time. So much space and intersting if not weird things to look at. More below.
Second day in Sheffield. Plan to go in by tram thwarted by maintenance works so went by bus – took a while to get there. Enjoyed the industrial museum and indoor gardens.
Also went to furniture shop and ordered new 3 piece suite. Then walked along street to model railway superstore !
Final day went to Peak District. Nice drive with good scenery. Good walk around Longshaw estate ( see right) and into Hathersage for a nose about.
Call in at Nostell Priory on way home. Typical that the house was closed ! They need to open these places more regularly rather than just from Thursday to Sunday. At least the coffe shop was open.
